The training was very, very good, I learned a lot about all of the organisations that are there for free to sign post parents to. As part of my role I be using the resource on a day to day basis for. I also will be spreading the word to my friends and family about the online tools.

Local Money Champions, who live or work in Lambeth are able to talk to people about money and direct them to local services. Over 65% of those who spoke to a Money Champion went on to seek professional advice and 40% went on to see a reduction in their rent arrears and 30% started paying off debts.

We have been lucky to have our staff go through the Money Champions programme and for them it actually helps them in their working role for Genesis. They have found that by helping people with general money issues find a path way of support, they are much more effective at getting long lasting results and its really does make a massive difference.
