Position overview
The main purpose of a Welfare Benefits Advice Casework & Training Supervisor is to provide effective support and supervision to volunteers training to become qualified Money Coaches (advisers) at Money A+E and at partner organisations that serve local communities.
The post holder will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the team and contribute to the development and delivery of training to trainee caseworkers, volunteers, and community apprentices.
Responsibilities
Volunteer Supervision and Recruitment:

Supervise volunteers, including trainees, in accordance with CAL policies and procedures, providing coaching, mentoring, and setting objectives.

Conduct regular supervision meetings and annual reviews following CAL policies and procedures.

Provide feedback on volunteer performance, including results from quality case checking.

Identify and address individual training, support, and development needs of volunteers.

Collaborate with other staff to ensure trainees' learning objectives are met.

Develop volunteer role descriptions in collaboration with other partners and team leads

Assist in the recruitment of volunteers, including selection and induction processes.

Training:

Develop individual training and development plans based on business needs

Attend and contribute to internal and external meetings as appropriate.

Stay up to date with relevant policies, procedures, and undertake necessary training.

General:

Foster a positive working environment that effectively manages equality and diversity, upholds dignity at work, and encourages high performance from all staff and volunteers.

Maintain effective communication across the organization, with a focus on the Volunteer and Training Team.

Identify personal training and development needs and collaborate with the line manager to determine the best approach to address them.

Adhere to IT, information assurance, equalities and diversity policies, and health and safety guidelines, while taking responsibility for personal and colleagues' safety.

Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the organisation.
Qualifications

A minimum of three year's recent (within the last three years) experience in supervising volunteers and/or staff in a line management capacity.

Demonstrable recent (within the last five years) experience in delivering training for adult learners, including group training sessions.

Experience working in the voluntary, paid or unpaid, or Further Education (FE), or advice sectors.
