Co-Creation & Engagement Officer
Location: Stratford, London/Hybrid | Dept: Policy | Salary: £32,000-£35,000 FTE | Closing Date: 25th April 2025 | Job type: Part-time, 2.5 Days
At Money A+E we are seeking a highly skilled Co-Creation Officer to join our team. Are you a community engagement officer with a passion for excellence?
The ideal candidate will have lived experience of poverty, financial challenges and / or exclusion and a strong background in designing and working with co-creation projects, proven experience in stakeholder engagement, and program management, preferably within the non-profit or social impact sector. The ideal applicant will have a strong understanding of co-creation principles, participatory approaches, and communication engagement strategies. They will have strong communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Ideally, you will have a passion for social impact, equity and community empowerment. Money A+E is a Money Advice & Education Social Enterprise that was set up by 3 money advisers, passionate about providing simple and accessible money advice and education to people in need.

Overall purpose of the role
-
Delivering our co-creation strategy for the Equity in Finance project
-
Recruiting, coordinating, facilitating and developing co-creation at Money A+E
-
Strengthening the voice of lived experience in the social policy sector
-
Working together with partnership organisations
-
Build and grow a community of lived experience experts working for better outcomes of diverse ethnic communities in East London
-
Develop further co-creation projects as required

Duties and responsibilities:
​
1. Lived experience steering committee
-
Design and facilitate co-creation activities with the lived experience steering committee
-
Develop the lived experience steering committee
-
Build and maintain individual relationships with committee members
-
Design and host online and in-person events for the committee, in-person and online
-
Prepare reports and presentations on the impact of the committee on internal and external stakeholders.

Connect the committee to Money A+E projects
-
Raise the profile of the committee through engaging with Money A+E communication manager and external partners​
2. Co-creation project implementation
-
Design and implement co-creation activities for existing and emerging projects
-
Regularly report on the impact of co-creation initiatives, sharing insights and lessons learned to inform future policy development and decision-making

Liaise with partnership organizations to develop new co-creation projects

Liase with partners to incorporate new findings from policy and co-creation research into co-creation work at Money A+E

3. Community and stakeholder engagement

Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration and co-creation opportunities.

Engage with Money A+E service users, community groups, customers, employees and partners to raise Money A+E’s co-creation profile

4. Co-creation advocacy
-
Foster a co-creation community around financial resilience and related topics
-
Collaborate with stakeholders, including community groups, customers, employees, and partners, to identify shared challenges and opportunities.

Represent the organization in relevant forums, conferences, and events, sharing insights and experiences related to co-creation and its impact.

Engagement with supported housing development, employee wellbeing and transferable skills training programmes​
5. Racial Justice Programme

Co-steering the campaign & attending joint meeting and activities with RF LESC
-
Branding and logo
-
Education, Engagement, reflection and opinion on gap analysis

Ideas and gaps ideation on Themes and developing initiatives

Involvement in themes taken forward EP Rep & EP Acc
-
Design ideation on project initiatives and actions taken forward
-
Support and employment in campaigns, initiatives and actions as part of the campaign

Qualifications
-
Lived experience of Money A+E mission and vision.
-
Experience of working as community engagement officer or similar role
-
Experience of designing and working with co-creation projects
-
Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, and program management, preferably within the non-profit or social impact sector.

Strong understanding of co-creation principles, participatory approaches, and communication engagement strategies
-
Strong communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders

Passion for social impact, equity and community empowerment
