Position overview
As a Marketing and Communications Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the marketing and communication efforts of our organisation. You will work closely with the marketing team to execute marketing campaigns, create engaging content, and assist in various communication activities.
This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about marketing and communication, eager to learn, and willing to contribute to the success of our organisation's marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities

Assist in the execution of marketing campaigns, including content creation, distribution, and tracking.

Create and curate engaging content for various marketing channels, such as social media, websites, blogs, and email campaigns.

Support the development and maintenance of the organisation's social media presence, including content scheduling, monitoring, and engagement.

Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, target audiences, and competitive landscape.
​​

Collaborate with the marketing team lead to brainstorm ideas, contribute to marketing strategies, and develop innovative marketing initiatives.

Assist in managing and updating the organisation's website content, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
​​

Support the coordination of events, trade shows, conferences, and other promotional activities, including logistics, materials, and communication.

Assist in the production of marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, presentations, and other promotional collateral.
​​

Monitor and analyse marketing performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Stay updated with emerging trends, tools, and best practices in marketing and communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.

Some experience or internship in marketing, communication, or a similar role is preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and engaging content.

Knowledge of digital marketing platforms and social media channels.
​​

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Understanding of market research principles and techniques.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.

Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to contribute to marketing strategies and initiatives.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
