Position overview

The main purpose of a Partnership Projects and Policy Manager is to establish and manage strategic partnerships, drive income generation, and develop and advocate for policies that align with the organization's mission and contribute to its overall impact and sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Partnership Development: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with corporate entities, foundations, government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders.

    • Build and maintain relationships with potential partners, showcasing the value of collaboration and securing funding opportunities.

    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative partnership proposals and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements.

  • Income-Generating Projects: Lead the development and implementation of income-generating projects, aligning them with the organization's strategic objectives.

    • Oversee project planning, budgeting, and execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, deliverables, and financial targets. Monitor project outcomes and make data-driven recommendations for optimisation and growth.

  • Policy Development and Advocacy: Stay updated on relevant policies, regulations, and industry trends, identifying opportunities for policy advocacy to advance the organization's mission. Develop and implement effective policy strategies, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive positive change. Represent the organisation in policy-related forums, advocating for the interests of the organisation and its beneficiaries.

  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to measure the impact of partnership projects and policy initiatives. Collect and analyse data to assess project outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and report on progress to internal and external stakeholders. Use evaluation findings to refine strategies, enhance performance, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the organisation, fostering a culture of partnership and effective communication.

    • Provide guidance and support to team members involved in partnership projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Nonprofit Management, Public Policy).

Proven experience in partnership development, project management, and policy advocacy within the nonprofit or charity sector.

​

Demonstrated success in securing funding through strategic partnerships and driving income-generation initiatives.

​

Strong knowledge of policy development, advocacy strategies, and the regulatory landscape relevant to the organization's mission.

​

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.

​

Analytical mindset with the ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data to inform decision-making and evaluate impact.

​

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

​

Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

​

Passion for the mission and values of the organisation, with a commitment to social impact and positive change.
